Winter Boots
Tuesday, November 1st, 2011Can you believe it’s November! And for the first week of November, I thought boots is one of the first winter items to shop for.
Although the weather has been mild, it is definitely time to shop for winter essentials.
I love boots they are one of my favourite pieces to go shopping for, and you can never have enough to keep you through winter.
My debate was whether to write about ankle boots or knee highs boots, I could not decide as both are a winner for this season so I decided to post about a mixture of styles.
If you feel like your stuck in a style rut a new pair of boots can update your wardrobe instantly.
It can take time trying different boots to see what suits you best, but once you find a good pair, it is easy to build outfits.
Whatever your size and shape a good pair of signature boots is a must have in your wardrobe.
The Riding Boot. Something that I think will never go out of fashion. The heritage look is really on trend for winter and these are a real staple. A good investment, and will last for a few winters. These are from Office £120.
The Animal Print Boot. Animal print is really in fashion this season. Leopard print, seems to be the best investment and these are great if you just want a subtle hint of print, these are also another bargain from Asos £40 reduced from £50 !
The Ankle Boot. Great with jeans and paired with dresses. The ankle boot is a must have wardrobe piece. This pair from Alexander McQueen £720, Are suede and look great teamed with your favourite skinny jeans.
The Brogue. One of my favourite types of boot and I am always on the hunt for a good pair! I am in love with these ones from ASOS £27. Reduced from £45. An absolute bargain! These have a cute little heel, are great to dress up jeans. Also very flattering on the legs and the lace up is a nice added touch.
The Biker Boot. I adore biker boots, sometimes it is hard to find a pair that are not chunky, but still feminine. Zara have some gorgeous winter boots these are perfect for wearing casually, but still looking stylish. Zara £59.99.
The Knee High Boot. For these dark winter evenings these knee high boots from Topshop £95. Are fantastic, the fact they have a heel means they are also super stylish!

When people think lace they tend to think creams, whites, maybe some black and a bit of red (thanks to Erdem). We love Whistles’ Siri Lace Dress, £275, for refusing to conform to the usual colour palette of choice for lace by surprising us with a lovely shade of light turquoise. It feels much fresher than the types of lace we’ve come to know and it’s perfect for working the colour blocking trend as well.
We’re envisioning wearing this jumpsuit on holiday somewhere far away complete with perfectly tanned skin and gold accessories. Perfect for a bit of understated glamour, this is certain to get heads a-turnin’. Juliana jumpsuit, £195.
Coming up later on this month: coloured jeans. We just love this trend and will be bringing you our favourite picks soon. In the meantime we are coveting these Liza Cotton Wrap Trousers, £65 (they also come in a daring shade of red) worn just as the model is for a relaxed, chic look this summer.
